As part of the event, an exhibition area was allocated to participants from many countries around the world, and booths were allocated to companies to establish a international network. Delivering the opening speech of the conference, where digitalization in the maritime and supply industries was prominent, TURSSA President George Saris said that the aim of the conference was to elevate the supply industry to its rightful place through collaboration from the public and private sectors. George Saris also drew attention to the added value and employment potential created by ship suppliers. "Our country is in a very special position in the world in terms of sea transport care," he said, underlining their readiness to do anything for the industry to grow.
